Biography

Dr. Qiang Duan is an Associate Professor in Information Sciences and Technology Department at the Pennsylvania State University Abington College. Before joining Penn State University in 2008, he was an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at University of Central Arkansas. Dr. Duan’s main research interests include data communications and computer networking, the next generation Internet architecture, Software-Defined Networking, Network Virtualization, Cloud computing, and networking and computing system security. He has more than sixty publications in these areas, including book chapters, journal articles, and conference papers.  He is serving on the editorial boards for five international journals and as technical program committee member for numerous international conferences. Dr. Duan received his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from University of Mississippi, and he holds MS in Telecommunications and B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
