Encryption along with compression is the process used to secure any multimedia content processing with minimum data storage and transmission. The transforms plays vital role for optimizing any encryption-compression systems. Earlier the original information in the existing security system based on the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) is protected by only a certain order of FRFT. In this article, a novel method for encryption-compression scheme based on multiple parameters of discrete fractional Fourier transform (DFRFT) with random phase matrices is proposed. The multiple-parameter discrete fractional Fourier transform (MPDFRFT) possesses all the desired properties of discrete fractional Fourier transform. The MPDFRFT converts to the DFRFT when all of its order parameters are the same. We exploit the properties of multiple-parameter DFRFT and propose a novel encryption-compression scheme using the double random phase in the MPDFRFT domain for encryption and compression data. The proposed scheme with MPDFRFT significantly enhances the data security along with image quality of decompressed image compared to DFRFT and FRFT and it shows consistent performance with different images. The numerical simulations demonstrate the validity and efficiency of this scheme based on Peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), Compression ratio (CR) and the robustness of the schemes against bruit force attack is examined.

Then we explore in particular, the issues of topology control and works in this field and the use of multi-agent systems. Finally we will propose an agent based algorithm for fault tolerance and topology control in a wireless sensor network. Our proposal consists to embed an agent at each node that is responsible for selecting its parent node or the next hop to the sink when transferring packets. The process of parent change is based on the computation of a fault tolerance degree which is calculated periodically by the agent in cooperation with neighboring nodes, in addition to other parameters such as the number of hops, the energy and the quality of link. Simulation results show that this method of changing parent allows a fault tolerant network with enhanced life time compared with the collect tree protocol CTP used for data gathering in a wireless sensor network.

A Ternary tree based Group ECDH.2 (TGECDH.2) protocol that uses a batch rekeying algorithm during membership change is proposed in this paper. This ternary tree is a balanced key tree in which appropriate insertion point is selected for the joining members during rekeying operation. TGECDH.2 combines the computational efficiency of ECDH protocol and the communication efficiency of GDH.2 protocol. From the performance analysis, it is inferred that the TGECDH.2 outperforms an existing ternary tree based protocol. Hence, it is best suited for the resource constrained mobile devices such as notebooks, laptops, sensors, etc. in cognitive radio mobile ad hoc networks.

It relies on the cooperation of all the participating nodes. Due to their open nature and lack of infrastructure, security for MANETS has become an intricate problem than the security in other networks. The conventional security mechanisms of protecting a wired network are not sufficient for these networks. Hence a second level of defense to detect and respond to the security problem called an Intrusion detection system is required. Generally the malicious nodes demonstrate a different behavioral pattern of all the other normal nodes. So an Intrusion Detection System based on anomaly based intrusion detection that works by checking the behavior of the nodes was proposed. Here, in this paper to determine the behavior of the nodes as malicious or legitimate a Data Transmission Quality (DTQ) function is used. The DTQ function is defined in such a way that it will be close to a constant or keep changing smoothly for genuine nodes and will keep on diminishing for malicious nodes.. The final decision of confirming nodes as malicious is determined by a group consensus method. The evaluation results show that the proposed method increases the detection rate as well as decreases the false positive rate.

Recently, virtual multiple input multiple output (V-MIMO) technique has been introduced in which the node cooperation is extended to form a virtual antenna array and communication is accomplished using space time block coding. The present work extends the scope of V-MIMO by proposing a new clustering technique. It creates the temporary cluster heads and their respective cooperative nodes, collects information from them and then the final clustering is accordingly done. The simulation result shows significant improvement in the energy efficiency of the WSN.

Storage as a Service is a type of business model which rents storage space for smaller companies or even for individuals. The vendors are targeting secondary storage by promoting this service which allows a convenient way of managing backups instead of maintaining a large tape library. The key advantage of using Storage service is cost savings of hardware and physical storage spaces. In securing Storage as a Service model, there is a need for a middleware to monitor the data transmission among cloud storage and various clients. The objective of the system aims at developing a smart and integrated dynamic secured storage model which acts as a middleware in supporting all the primary security goals such as confidentiality, data integrity, and accountability. This proposed model will provide secured data dynamics, access controls and auditability. The secured data dynamics is done by Boneh Franklin-Identity Based Cryptography. This model enhances the accounting model in adding indexing policies and provides security in the audit logs through password based cryptography along with AES. This is a generic middleware assisting the basic security features for any cloud environment, so that it can be equipped for any type of system. The main advantage of the proposed system is to reduce the time complexity in encryption and decryption process and also to provide higher degree of security. We also leveraged the implementation of this middleware in a mail server environment with drive option which poses file storage and enables file sharing among the drive users.

In Elliptic curve point Multiplication latency depends on the number of one’s (Hamming Weight) in the binary representation of the scalar multiplier. By reducing the effective number of one’s in the multiplier, the multiplication speed is automatically increased. Therefore we describe a new method of effectively reducing the Hamming weight of the scalar multipliers thereby reduces the number of Point Adders when multi scalar multiplication is needed. The increase in speed achieved outweighs the hardware cost and complexity.

So far primarily many of architectural frameworks and models developed and being used. In the vision of pervasive computing where mobile applications are growing immensely with the potential of low cost, high performance, and user centric solutions. This paradigm is highly dynamic and heterogeneous and brings along trust and security challenges regarding vulnerabilities and threats due to inherent open connectivity. Despite advances in the technology, there is still a lack of methods to measure the security and level of trust and framework for the assessment and calculation of the degree of the trustworthiness. In this paper, we explore security and trust metrics concerns requirement and challenges to decide the trust computations metric parameters for a self-adaptive self-monitoring trust based security assurance in mobile pervasive environment. The objective is to identify the trust parameters while routing and determine the node behavior for soft security trust metric. In winding up, we put our efforts to set up security assurance model to deal with attacks and vulnerabilities requirements of system under exploration.
