The determination of strength properties i.e compressive strength, flexural strength and splitting tensile strength is essential to estimate the load at which the concrete members may crack especially in aggressive environment. The paper reports an experimental investigation on deterioration of used engine oil (UEO) soaked flyash concrete with respect to its strength properties and effective automation of classification of data sets returned by the SEM test on the same set of samples. In the former part, concrete cube ,beam and cylinder specimens with fly ash admixture as partial replacement of cement by 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35% and 40% were subjected to water curing and then to UEO soaking. Gradual decrease in the strength properties of concrete specimens with respect to time was observed. An attempt has been made to study the permeation properties like soroptivity with the addition of fly ash in concrete. The SEM analysis of test results was in good agreement to this. An attempt was made to automate this analysis phase using correlation coefficient and Support Vector Machines (SVM). It was found that the latter achieved better results in terms of performance.

The supply of electricity in the hotels is only 4-5 hours from the generator. For the geographical position, the electricity cannot supply from the mainland grid and the cost of electricity is so high and is not favourable to the environment. In this paper, Hybrid system of photovoltaic (PV), diesel generator, battery for generating electricity in the Saint Martin's Island is analyzed for 18 hotels. The main objective of the present study is to determine the optimum size of Hybrid system which can fulfil the requirements of 528 kWh/day primary load with 125 kW peak for 18 hotels in this island. By using HOMER (Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewables) software an optimum model is established for the renewable system. The aim is to configure a renewable system with low interest and low energy cost. The diagrams and tables which show prices and performances of the types of equipment on the optimum model are also presented. The result shows that PV (185 kW), diesel generator (105 kW), converter (96 kW) and 615 piece batteries of the Hybrid system is most commercially reliable and least cost of energy is about 19.48Tk per kWh or $ 0.253 per kWh ($1=77Tk) with total net present cost $ 624,391 or 48,078,107TK. The emission of CO2 is very low in this Hybrid system.

Security, reliability and the location is major concern for Independent System Operator (ISO). So a modified Optimal Power Flow (OPF) optimization method is proposed in this paper to provide the system security. Firstly, the reactive power solution is obtained by solving a modified OPF model which maximizes system loadability subject to transmission security constraints imposed by thermal limits, voltage limits and stability limits. This modified OPF model is used for ensuring systemsecurity as well as for contingency analysis. Secondly, the Expected Payment Function (EPF) of generators is used to develop a bidding framework while Total Payment Function (TPF) based OPF is used to clear the PAB market. For the simulation and analysis purposes, a 24 bus RTS network is used in normal condition as well as in worst contingency state. The system security is preserved even in the worst contingency state.

It plays the vital role as it acts as an intermediate phase to many Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications like Machine Translation, Information Retrieval, Speech Processing, Hypertext navigation, Parts-of -Speech tagging. Existing literature reveals that there are various approaches for lexical ambiguity resolution-Knowledge based, Corpus based. In recent years, many WSD systems is being developed in Indian languages like Hindi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Nepali, Kannada but no such automated system has yet emerged for the Indo-Aryan language- Assamese. Our future work aims to develop a model for the WSD problem which is fast, optimal and efficient in terms of accuracy and scalability. This paper presents a survey report made in this research topic discussing the WSD problem, various approaches along with their algorithms. Moreover it also list out the various NLP applications which would be efficient when disambiguation system is merged. Evaluation measures used to determine the WSD performance are also discussed here.
