A binary distillation process with desired composition rate is considered. The aim is to find a control (Top and bottom compositions) which is optimal with respect to energy consumption and which is robust at the same time with respect to the response speed(less time) and minimum overshot. The solution approach is based on the formulation of two optimization techniques, Invasive Wood (IWO) and Differential Evolution (DE) with respect to Integral Square Error (ISE) and Integral Absolute Error (IAE) fitness function with using Proportinal_Integral-Derivative (PID) controller. An overall model including the dynamics of the distillation process is assumed with model reduction methods. This optimal control is compared with classical approach. The numerical results are presented and showed the effectiveness of the proposed control. MATLAB package is used for simulation and analysis.

This article presents Differential Evolution (DE) to determine optimum fractional proportional-integral-derivative (FPID) controller parameters for model decrease of an automatic voltage controller (AVR) system. The suggested strategy is a straightforward yet efficient algorithm with balanced capacities for exploration and exploitation to efficiently search for space alternatives to find the best outcome. The algorithm's simplicity offers quick and high-quality tuning of optimum parameters for the FPID controller. A time domain performance index is used to validate the suggested DE-FPID controller. The proposed technique was discovered productive and hearty in improving the transient response of AVR framework contrasted with the PID controllers based - Ziegler-Nichols (ZN), FPID based - Invasive Weed Optimization (IWO),FPID based-Sine-Cosine algorithmn (SCA) tuning strategies.

In Software Defined Networks (SDN) the control plane is removed to a separate device called the controller. The controller is the most important and main part in SDN architecture and large SDN networks may consist of multiple controllers or controller domains that distribute the network management between them. Because of the controller importance, it has been given a proper attention and many studies have been made to compare, test, and evaluate the performance of the controllers. This paper aims to evaluate and compare the performance of different SDN controllers which are Open Network Operating System (ONOS), OpenDaylight, POX and Ryu, using Two performance tests; the first test includes connecting two controllers of each of the four controllers to linear topology with different number of switches; and the other test includes connecting different number of controllers of each of the four controllers to linear topology with fixed number of switches. Then for these tests, the performance in terms of some Quality of Service (QoS) parameters such as average Round-Trip Time (RTT), throughput, and jitter are measured between the two end hosts in each network. After the evaluation of the performance has been completed, it had been seen that the controllers showed different behaviors, and that POX controller showed more stable and good performance results than other controllers.

This paper portrays the demonstrating, and testing of passive suspension control techniques. The control execution of a two-degree of-opportunity quarter car passive suspension frameworks is explored utilizing Matlab/Simulink, display. A classical Proportional Integral and Derivative (PID), Linear Quadratic Control (LQR), and H2 controller design are proposed and compared with soft computing methods, such Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) controller. Simulation environment was used for all design methods, investigation of the effects of the control techniques in time-domain design specifications, their comparison and verification of the results obtained. The results are shows the effectiveness of the (GA) controller to satisfied design requirements compared with others methods.
