DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2014.10.01, Pub. Date: 8 Sep. 2014

Hybrid dynamic systems are analyzed through linear hybrid automaton. In this paper, we propose a mapping algorithm to deal with a new Continuous elementary HPN. The method shown enables us to analyze some system properties using a linear hybrid automaton generated by a mapping process. The application involves a water system of three tanks, which is analyzed by a PHAVer (Polyhedral Hybrid Automaton Verifier) software tool. Its effectiveness is illustrated by numerical simulation results.

Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is formed by a group of autonomous mobile nodes connected by wireless links, in which there is no backbone infrastructure. In this work, an attempt has been made to understand the characteristics/behavior of Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Destination Sequence Distance Vector (DSDV) routing protocols when operating in more challenging environment such as frequent change in network topology and node density. The performance differentials are analyzed using throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio and normalized routing load which shall provide an insight about the sensitivity of the protocols under consideration when exposed in more challenging environment. Simulation based analysis of the protocols have been done using NS-2.

Development of Myanmar-English Bilingual WordNet like Lexicon

By Soe Lai Phyue

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2014.10.04, Pub. Date: 8 Sep. 2014

A bilingual concept lexicon is of significance for Information Extraction (IE), Machine Translation (MT), Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD) and the like. Myanmar-English Bilingual WordNet like Lexicon (MEBWL) is developed to fulfill the requirements of Language Acquisition (LA). However, it is reasonably difficult to build such a lexicon is quite challenging in time and cost consuming. To overcome this challenging, this paper integrates linguistic resources, including Myanmar-English dictionary, English-Myanmar dictionary and WordNet to construct a Myanmar-English WordNet like lexicon by acquiring the lexical and conceptual knowledge from WordNet and Myanmar<->English Machine Readable Dictionaries (MRDs). The system includes three phases which include the MRD extraction phase, the link analyzing phase and the WordNet construction phase. The first phase converts the data from multiple resources with different format into a common format and joins and aligns the scattered data for smoothly access and group the data according their part of speech (POS). The link analyzing phase analyzes, classifies and generates candidates of translation links. In the constructing phase, MEBWL is constructed from the verified translation link and WordNet. Beside then, to support the inflected word of Myanmar to English words, morphological processor is designed.

Regarding to increasing spread of internet in recent years, social networks attracted the attention of many people. A voting system is a set of rules that a community adopts to take collective decision. In this paper we study representative democracy voting and introduce an algorithm for finding a committee who are participated in voting rather than entire social network. In this model we use community detection techniques in order to obtain parties, and D’Hondt rule to clarifying proportion of each party in committee. We finally use analysis links webpages algorithms for finding important users in social network.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2014.10.06, Pub. Date: 8 Sep. 2014

Content based medical images have become a major necessity with the growing retrieving Advancements. CBIR access to medical images for supporting clinical decision making has been proposed that would be ease to manage large number of image in the database system. [4] In real time case only few systems has been developed and used in clinical environment. Content-Based Image Retrieval refers to image retrieval system that is based on visual properties of image objects other than textual annotation. Query image features compare with the database image features which is not exactly matching so image feature can be compare with the two tier approach in the database image in order to improve the accuracy of the retrieval system. Every day, large volume of different types of medical images such as MRI, CT images ultrasound, x-ray, radiology, etc are produced in different medical centre’s .microscopic image classification and discrimination (sub-type) [12] is the most difficult problem in medical image retrieval system. In this paper, the survey provides the suitable algorithm for retrieval and classification of medical image to improve the overall accuracy of the MIMS.

Energy-Efficient PSO and Latency Based Group Discovery Algorithm in Cloud Scheduling

By Nandhini A. Saravana Balaji B.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2014.10.07, Pub. Date: 8 Sep. 2014

Cloud computing is a large model change of computing system. It provides high scalability and flexibility among an assortment of on-demand services. To imporve the performance of the multi-cloud environment in distributed application might require less energy efficiency and minimal inter-node latency correspondingly. The major problem is that the energy efficiency of the cloud computing data center is less if the number of server is low, else it increases. To overcome the energy efficiency and network latency problem a novel energy-efficient particle swarm optimization representation for multi-job scheduling and Latency representation for the grouping of nodes with respect to network latency is proposed. The scheduling procedure is through on the basis of network latency and energy efficiency. Scheduling schema is the main part of Cloud Scheduler component, which helps the scheduler in scheduling decision on the base of dissimilar criterion. It also works well with incomplete latency information and performs intelligent grouping on the basis of both network latency and energy efficiency. Design a realistic particle swarm optimization algorithm for the cloud servers and construct an overall energy competence based on the purpose of the servers and calculation of fitness value for each cloud servers. Also, in order to speed up the convergent speed and improve the probing aptitude of our algorithm, a local search operative is introduced. Finally, the experiment demonstrates that the proposed algorithm is effectual and well-organized.

By Madhusudanan. J Anand. P Hariharan. S V. Prasanna Venkatesan

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2014.10.09, Pub. Date: 8 Sep. 2014

Smart home is a relatively new technology, where we applied pervasive computing in all the aspects, so as to make our jobs or things that we normally do in-side the home in a very easier way. Originally, a smart home technology was used to control environmental systems such as lighting and heating; but recently the use of smart technology has been developed so that almost any electrical component within the home can be included in the system. Usually in pervasive computing, a middleware is developed to provide interaction between the user and device. In previous, a middleware is only suitable for specific Smart Home architecture, that can’t be applicable to any other architecture but the Generic Ubiquitous Middleware is suitable for different Smart Home architecture. This paper proposes that any smart home can be built with single architecture and it is verified using a Coloured Petri Nets tool. We have given a verification model of various Smart home Environments.

Clustering Structure and Deployment of Node in Wireless Sensor Network

By Rajeeb S. Bal Amiya K. Rath

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5815/ijitcs.2014.10.10, Pub. Date: 8 Sep. 2014

Generally, grouping sensor nodes into clusters has been widely adopted by the research community to satisfy the above scalability objective and generally achieve high energy efficiency and prolong network lifetime in large scale WSN environments. The corresponding hierarchical routing and data gathering protocols imply cluster based organization of the sensor nodes in order that data fusion and aggregation are possible, thus leading to significant energy savings. We propose a clustering approach which organizes the whole network into a connected hierarchy and discuss the design rationale of the different clustering approaches and design principles. Further, we propose several key issues that affect the practical deployment of clustering techniques in wireless sensor network applications.
